It's difficult to tell you without audio! Narrow your mouth by pulling in your cheeks. Keep your tongue off the bottom of your mouth, but don't touch the top of your mouth with it. then try to say something like "red". The "r" sound is a small sound, almost like a "oorgh" but it changes quickly to the "e" of "red".
