It takes time. You will make mistakes. Don't worry about this – it's a natural part of learning a language. Don't worry about what other people say / do – keep practising! It's difficult to say how long you need to speak fluently. Start with simple situations, then build up to more complex conversations. And finally, yes, it's possible to speak fluently if you learn as an adult. The only difference between learning as an adult and learning as a child is that adults find it harder to develop a more native accent than children. Please don't give up!

Hi Clare, I try to practice english whenever I get chance but every time I realise that I should stop learning english because english is not my cup of tea or everything is not for everybody. I feel very disgusted when I make mistake or when people give a look that means I made mistake and when people start talking in my mother tongue. If anybody tries to practice english everyday like four or more hours what is the maximum time one should take to speak or write english fulently. I have another question is it possible for anybody to speak english flluently if they start learning it at their adulthood. Thank you so much for this great site and for your responses on my other comments.
