Hi Clare
First of all, let me wish you a FABULOUS 2009!! :X
Could you please help me out with these cases?
1. I have heard these kinda often:?I wasn??t even meant to be here, he wasn??t meant?. Or it wasn??t mean?? what is ??be not mean to? supposed to mean here?
2. ? They seem to have one thing in common that is/is that they hate rock?. Do I have to use that is or is that? I feel a little confused here!
Thanks

Happy New Year to you, too!
1. I wasn't (even) meant to be here = I wasn't supposed to be here (i.e. it wasn't planned for me to be here)
You can also say "he wasn't meant to be here" and "it wasn't meant to be" (= it wasn't destined)
2. I think you should use "which", as it is a non-defining relative clause:
"They seem to have one thing in common, which is that they hate rock."
