Researchers in Australia say that tall people earn more than shorter people, and chubby (= fat) people earn more than skinny people. Apparently this is because society considers taller people as more powerful.

I think that depends on what kind of job .
No. in my country Singapore earning capacity is based on firstly educational qualifications followed by the applicant's personality, his perceptions and passion for work and life.

It's not true that tall people earn more than shorter one, because there is no difference in abilities between them.

Tall people earn more more money is not exceptable for bangladesh. But relation is a factor.
It is not a major factor that we earn more or less than others.

why that? in my country there is not this kind of discrimination , besides it's something of nature no one could control it , so why shoud they be afflicted with something they could not control

I agree with that everyone has special qualifications and some cases require particular abilities. In fact, the majority of careers don not rely on any phisycal appearences.

In some cases,it counts more of your appearance than that of your real capacity.However,it dame well seems rarer and rarer in the intellectual-linked society~
Probably it is true due to career chosen.For example, celebrities, and models who are earning from their physical attractiveness.
Anyhow, physical doesn't matter as long you have competence and confidence in any career.

i dont think so,the people can earn more if they have more confidence and working.
Anyway I wouldn't trust Australian researchers unconditionally – they'll say anything if it help to capture an attention just to Australia, no matter what a subject there is said about. Just remember recent story about travelling Australia to California and back. I think they merely love to make gossips little bit too much.

Studies have repeatedly shown that tall people are perceived to be more self-assured and powerful. Statistically, they do tend to make more money. This study is not indigenous to Australia, it has been conducted in the U.S., U.K. and a myriad of other places. Ridiculous? Sure. But absolutely true.
Although it is based on surveys,I think there is no much link between this two question.How much you earn depends on you ability ,not your height.
It depends! we know, the research was made in Australia, not based on every country, every line and every people, and also I think in the research there shoule be some short people who earn more than the tall ones, the research just shows the final result, not all the details, let's calm down and talk something interesting!
This is pure rubbish. Personality factors and lifestyle choices have more of an effect.
in my oponion the short pple are more abt the tall pple . why ? the short pple they are very active whn u compare tall pple that is why i think.
